Once again I'm way behind on blogging...

I did want to post about Dallin's arrival. On Thursday July 14 I woke up early not feeling good, and I couldn't go back to sleep, which was unusual. I started having lower back pain and contractions here and there, but nothing too regular. Michael's mom came and got the kids for us so that we could go to the hospital to see if I was dilated at all. (My doctor was out of town so I didn't know) We grabbed some lunch, then got to the hospital around 12:45pm. They hooked me up to the monitors, and I was having contractions, but when they checked me I wasn't dilated at all. They wanted me to walk around and see if anything changed, so we walked up and down the hall for about 45 min. and when they checked me at 3pm I was dilated 2-3cm. Since I was dilating they decided to keep me. They checked me again around 6pm but there wasn't any change, which was disappointing. We did some more walking, and when the checked again around 8:30pm I was dilated 4-5cm and the doctor decided to break my water to get things moving, which really helped! At 9:45pm I was dilated 8-9cm and once I was fully dilated it only took half a push and Dallin Joseph Trimmell was born at 10:00pm weighing 5lbs 2oz and was 18 inches long. He is so tiny, but not a bad size for being 3 weeks early! I knew I wouldn't make it to August, but he did come earlier than I expected. He's perfect! He has a lot more hair than I thought (Landon was pretty much bald until he was 1) I'm not sure who he looks like...he does have the same chin as Landon, but he's changing each day so it's hard to tell.

My parents brought Makayla and Landon to the hospital the next day to meet their new baby brother. They both love him so much, and always want to hold and kiss him. We feel so blessed to have 3 beautiful, healthy children. So far he has been a great baby! He eats every 2-3 hours for 10-15 minutes and then goes back to sleep. Even at night we are only getting up once or twice which is awesome. I'm so glad that breastfeeding is working out great. I can't believe that he is almost 2 weeks old already. Our friend Chris did a newborn photo shoot, so I wanted to post some of those pictures. (I'll post the hospital pictures after I upload them)

Well I'm behind again. I just realized that I haven't posted pictures from any of the recent holidays...I'll see if I can get those up soon when it loads right...

On February 9th, Makayla turned 4. I can't believe my baby girl is 4 already. The time is going by so fast! This year she had a Tangled birthday theme. We had sub sandwiches, chips, veggies and fruit followed by a Tangled decorated cake. She got a bunch of clothes, easy bake oven food, and the dress and wig from the movie Tangled. She had so much fun opening presents. Then we surprised her with one last gift, her first bicycle! It even came with a seat for her baby on the back. She was so surprised and excited. She went out and rode it and did pretty good. Now she goes really fast! On her actual birthday she had preschool that morning. They made a special birthday hat for her to wear. Then we went to lunch with both grandmas at Hometown buffet where everyone there sang her Happy Birthday. That night daddy took her out for ice cream. She had a great day.

Feb 14 Valentine's Day. Michael was gone in Texas so the kids and I sent a package to his hotel with valentines, candy and snacks. He had no idea we were sending anything. It was a great surprise. He hid my present at the house and had Makayla get it for me. It was a 1 lb box of Sees chocolate (my fav) and a heart charm for my Pandora bracelet. It is so pretty. He also sent a dozen red roses, and a single red rose for Makayla. They were beautiful and unexpected! That day the kids and I had pink, heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, and later that night my brother Jared, sister and Chris came over and we ordered pizza and hung out.

Since I'm almost 6 months pregnant I thought I would post about it. We found out on Thanksgiving morning that we were expecting baby #3. We were so excited and feeling extra thankful that day! So far this pregnancy has been great. I'm very blessed to not have morning sickness. We found out not too long ago that it is a little boy! We are going to name him Dallin Joseph Trimmell. (Dallin is a combination of my father-in-law, David and my dad's middle name, Alan) So he will be named after both of our wonderful fathers. Makayla and Landon are excited to have him join our family. Makayla loves to feel him kick, and often pretends that she is pregnant and that her baby kicks too lol. Landon likes to give my belly kisses, and even shared gold fish with his little brother yesterday, too cute! We are all very excited and can't wait for him to join our family. He is due August 3, but I'm hoping he comes a little early, like mid-late July. Guess we will wait and see...

Feb. 18 Michael and I went away for the weekend for the first time ever! I was really nervous about leaving the kids. I knew that they would be fine (both grandmas/grandpas were going to be watching them) but I had never left them before so it was hard. However, once we got down to San Diego we had a great time. It was nice to sleep in, go shopping, and go out to eat by ourselves. Once Sunday came around though I was ready to go home and see them. I definitely missed them while we were gone and texted a lot asking about how they were doing. I really enjoyed having some one on one time with Michael though. Overall, it was a great little trip.

March 9 we took Makayla to see Wicked. She has been singing songs from it so we thought we would take her while they were back for a month. She loved it!! She sat still and quiet for pretty much the whole show. It was a long night but we had such a great time!

March 15 Landon got his first haircut. I was kinda sad to cut off the curls, but now he looks like such a big boy! I really like it. I saved some of the curls so I can scrapbook them. He did such a great job! Sat still for almost 10 minutes. Rachael Jackman did a great job. Thanks again! This was also a special day because it was Michael's last day of his Admin class. He now has his Tier 1 Administrative Credential. We are so proud of him! He worked so hard and we are so grateful!

March 17, St. Patrick's Day. We had green, shamrock shaped pancakes for breakfast and wore green outfits. We watched Cars and later went to the park and dance class.
Makayla celebrated the day before at school where they searched for the leprechaun and found his gold. (chocolate coins) So fun!

This past Sat, April 9 we celebrated Landon's 2nd birthday. Michael will be gone the week on Spring Break on the 8th grade Washington DC trip so we decided to celebrate a little early. His actual birthday is on April 19th. This year we did a "Construction" themed party. He loves big trucks so it was perfect. He had so much fun opening and playing with all the different cars he got. He got a dump truck, construction trucks, a trash truck, and all the character cars from the movie Cars (he fell in love with the movie after I already bought decorations for the construction party lol) He got a bunch of cute clothes, but he was too busy playing to notice lol.

Makayla is doing so well in Preschool. She comes home singing new songs, and tells me all about the things she is learning. She has sight word books and flashcards that she is learning and passing off. She's already on book #13! We are so proud of her and all that she is learning! She's also doing great at church in Sunbeams and loves singing time in Primary.

Landon is talking so much now! He repeats everything, and even talks in small sentences, like "ohh, mama, trash truck" "mama, I want sit couch" He loves to repeat words from the movie cars, like "shoot", "not same" etc. He has been going pee in the toilet a few times each day for a few months now...It would be nice to have him potty trained before the baby comes...His attention span is getting longer, and he will sit through almost the entire movie. He will also sit and color and line up and play with his trucks for a good amount of time. He wants to be a big boy like sissy and sit at the table like her etc. He has also been learning and singing along to songs a lot lately. He will kinda mumble some words, but when he knows the word he will sing it extra loud. He loves to sing "Child of God" "Temples" "Missionary" (that what he calls them) and the song "Hey Soul Sister" by Train is his favorite! We are so proud of him and al that he is learning.

I'm an auntie!!!

I'm way behind with the things I need to post about, like the holidays, but I wanted to make a quick post because today I became an auntie! My brother Jason and his wife Elizabeth had a baby girl at 12:37am. They named her Sarah Elizabeth Ibey and she weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 19 inches long. I haven't had a chance to meet her yet, but in the picture's she looks beautiful. I can't wait to hold her! Congratulations to my brother and his wife. We are all very excited that she is here!

A lot has happened since I last posted...

April 12 Landon moved up to a big boy car seat and he loves it!

April 19 was Landon's 1st birthday. I can't believe it! It went by so fast! We celebrated his birthday on April 17, with an All Star Sports theme. We had pulled pork over rice, salad, vegies, bread and cake for dessert. He got a lot of new toys and clothes which was great. His favorite toy of the night was a toy broom. He loves it! So funny. He did great with his cake too. He tried to pick up the whole thing and eat it, lol.

May 15 We took the kids to the Fullerton Arboretum. They loved it! They were so interested in the plants and animals all around them. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon.

June 5 Makayla had her first dance recital. She did amazing, and loved every minute of it! We are so proud of her! She looked adorable in her costumes!

June 7 We went bowling for family night. It was the first time for both kids. So fun!

June 15 We took the kids to the Downey Firestation where my Uncle Jay works as the Captain. We got an awesome tour and the kids had a blast climbing in an on the truck.

June 18 Took the kids to the doctor and found out that Makayla's cold had turned into a mild bronchitis and that Landon had another ear infection. My poor babies!!

July 4 We didn't do much this year since it was on a Sunday, but we went to visit our old ward for Ansley's baby blessing. (Justin and Amber Jackman's little girl). Then we went over to the Jackman's for a BBQ and just hung out. Then we went to my parent's house for another BBQ. Overall, it was a great day. Makayla had fun doing the poppers.

July 9 I took the kids to Pretend City in Irvine. This place is awesome! The kids loved it! It is a little city for kids with a grocery store, doctor's office, firestation etc.

July 15 We took the kids swimming with some friends from church. It was Landon's first time and he loved it! He wasn't scared at all! We all had a lot of fun!

July 19 We took the kids to Disneyland. This was Landon's first time and he loved it. Thanks to Marsha we were able to get hooked up with park hopper tickets, so we also took them to California Adventure which was a lot of fun. We also stayed to see the World of Color water and light show which was awesome. It was a long day, but so fun!

August 9 My younger brother, Justin came home from serving a full time mission for the past two years in Mexico City, Mexico. We were so excited that he came home. We all went to the airport to pick him up, and of course I cried when I saw him :0) Justin got to meet Landon for the first time, which was really neat. It's great to have him home, and we will miss him when he goes back to BYU next week, but he will visit often.

August 11 Was my 25th birthday! We didn't do much during the day because I was babysitting, but that night my mom watched the kids so Michael and I could eat dinner and so I could shop.. It was nice to have time to shop and try things on for myself. I ended up finding 6 new tops that I really like. We celebrated my birthday on August 8 and I got money, a skirt, makeup, chocolate and a new camera from my honey!

August 14 Michael and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been that long! It has gone by so quickly. Michael was so sweet. He planned out the whole day for just the two of us. His mom watched the kids so we could have the day alone together. First we ate lunch at a Mexican place in downtown Brea. Then we shopped. Then we both got 1 1/2 hour massages, which were amazing!! Then we shopped some more and had a wonderful dinner at the Melting Pot. So good! We had a private table decorated with rose petals and candles. So romantic. Overall, it was a wonderful day. I love my husband so much and feel so blessed to be married to him for eternity!

The kids have been learning so much lately. Landon is saying new words all the time like "shh" and "bubbles" "pop" "door" "up, down" "bonk" "trash" "don't do that" "don't touch" etc. He is so smart! He sure keeps us busy. He is constantly getting into everything. Opening doors, playing in the toilets etc. He loves fans! We bought him a little one with foam blades and he loves it! He knows and will point to his nose, eyes, head, belly button, tounge, feet etc. He always tries to run away when it's time for a diaper change. He loves his baths. He loves the way it sounds when he talks while plugging his nose. He will give you loves and try to get something you have, like the remote or food lol. We are so proud of him and love him so much! Makayla is talking non stop! We asked her where we should go one day and she said "Walmart...Target" lol That's my girl! She's been learning how to rhyme and has made up some like "Joe/Moe" and "Fatch/Match". The other day Landon had a stinky diaper and she said "Landon, you smell funky" haha. She loves to play with play dough and clay. She loves to pretend she's a mommy and has babies, or pretend that she's a baby. She loves to play board games and does amazing at matching games. She really has a great memory. She has been working in her school workbooks and can write some letters on her own, like O, M, T, L, I, A, etc. She pretty much wrote her first name by herself last week. We were so proud of her!! The more we practice the better she will get! We have flashcards that she's been learning with to help her learn how to sound out and recognize sight words, and she is doing really well. I'm amazed at how much she's knows and understands at 3 1/2. She is supposed to start Preschool in January and she is so excited. We love her so much and are so proud of her. Landon's room-I recently scrapped off the popcorn/cottage cheese ceiling so we still need to fix that, and finish painting.

As you can see we have done a lot to this place, and we did most of the work ourselves, with the help of family and friends of course! A big thanks to everyone who helped! We will continue to post as we make changes to our house.

I have been wanting to post for a while but wanted to have some before and after pictures of our place. Here is what we have been up to...

Feb. 5 We signed Escrow docs for our condo

Feb. 6 Big Day!! Since she was little she has loved her pacifier, or as she calls it an "uh-oh" We have been trying to get rid of it for awhile but she just wasn't ready. So, we decided together that she was a big girl and didn't need it anymore. So we wrapped them all up (seriously like 20 of them) and were going to give them to other babies that needed them. The first few days, mostly nights were rough, but after 3 days she stopped asking for them. She is officially done with pacifiers! Woo Hoo!

Feb. 9 Makayla's 3 Birthday. We went to lunch with Amber and Jasper Jackman. Then later that day I took her to get her nails done for the first time. She loved it, and did a great job sitting still. Then we had her choice of chicken tacos, bean & rice for dinner. Overall, she had a great day. I still can't believe that our baby girl is 3!!

Feb. 11 We officially bought/own our first place/condo

Feb. 13 We celebrated Makayla's 3rd birthday at my mom's house since we were getting ready to move. It was Disney's Enchanted theme, her favorite movie. We had pizza and salad for lunch and cake for dessert. I made a small castle cake for her. It took forever, but turned out pretty cute. She got a lot of clothes and some great toys. Overall, she had a great party.

Feb. 14 Valentine's Day - We went to church and spent the day with the Trimmell's and that night with the Ibey's. Michael and I exchanged gifts earlier on the 12th. He surprised me by making an appt for me to get my hair done. When I arrived at the salon there was a card, balloon and vase of roses, so sweet! He told me not to get him anything so I got him some red heart balloons and some big chocolate bars. We also got the kids some little things. It was a great day!

Feb. 28 We officially moved into our new home. During the weeks before we moved in we did a lot of work!! You'll be able to see that in the pictures! We still have more things to do, but it looks amazing! We tore out the carpet downstairs and put in laminate hardwood floors. Tore out the tile in the entry way, bathroom, kitchen and laundry room and replaced it with some really pretty Italian porcelain tiles. We gutted the downstairs bath and put in a new pedastal sink, mirror and medicine cabinet. New paint downstairs and upstairs. We eventually want to update the kitchen cabinets and countertops and the bathrooms upstairs, but that all comes with time. A little here, a little there. It's been a lot of work, but we love it because it's our place!

March 11 We went to the La Habra Children's Museum with Amber, her sister Nichelle and Jasper. The kids loved it! We will probably be going a lot since it's down the street.

March 17 St. Patrick's Day. We had green pancakes for breakfast. Daddy forgot his lunch so we stopped by his work to drop it off. Then we went to the library for story time. Then for dinner we went to the Trimmell's and had corned beef and cabbage. Good day.

March 22 Landon got his first tooth - On the bottom left if looking at him.
He's been doing a lot of new things lately. Making a "huh huh" noise for a dog barking, shaking his head no, coping me when I say "uh uh uh" lol moves are back and forth for airplane, learned how to drink from a straw, and has been "talking" a lot! Like having his own conversations with everyone in his own baby language, it's really cute.

April 4 Easter. I got the kids matching Easter outfits for church that they also wore on Easter. They looked so cute. We spent the morning with the Trimmell's and then the afternoon and evening with the Ibey's. The kids enjoyed getting baskets full of goodies and toys and had a blast with the Easter egg hunt. Landon actually did pretty good. This was his first Easter and I think he enjoyed it. Overall we had a great day full of great food and good times with family. We are all grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ who died for us and made it possible to return home to our Heavenly Father. He is the reason we celebrate Easter. (Forgot to mention that the kids also dyed easter eggs.)

April 2-12 Michael is on Spring Break this week so we are/will enjoy having him home. He does have to work a few days, and is leaving tonight to go to Arizona to help his parents work on his grandma's house, but he should be back late Friday, early Sat.

Landon...walking?!

So, as of Jan. 26 Landon is pretty much walking! Can you believe it?! He's barely 9 months old! He is just doing everything so fast! I guess he sees his big sister doing things and wants to do it also. We are so proud of him! He has been letting go and taking a few steps here and there, but now he is up to 15 steps! If he falls, he will crawl over to something, stand back up and walk again. What a big boy! Here are some pictures of this big achievement.

I'm realizing more and more how different boys and girls are. Makayla is a girly girl and loves to dress up, play with her babies, do her makeup etc. and Landon is such a boy! He loves playing with cords, remotes, and pretty much everything you tell him not to, lol. I love having one of each. It's so much fun to see the differences! Hopefully down the road we will have one more of each... :)

Everything is going well with buying the condo. The appraisal even came back higher than the purchase price so we already made some money on it, woo hoo! We are still on track to close early/mid February! So exciting!

Recent events

Once again I've fallen behind...Here are some recent events.

Dec. 30 Landon stood up and took his first step. I was like what?! Since then he has been taking more and more steps. He will be walking like a pro in no time! He's also been self feeding with finger foods, opening/closing his hand to say hi and bye, and giving big open mouth kisses when you say "kisses" I love it!

Dec. 31 Celebrated New Years at my Parent's house. Ate lots of yummy junk food!

Jan 7 & 8 Makayla had her first two days of dance class. Thursday was ballet/jazz and Friday was Tap. She looked adorable in her leotards and shoes! She played really shy and didn't do much, which I figured she would. Now she loves it and is doing great. She is taking classes at Carden School in Whittier and her teacher is Sarah Lemmon. It is so much fun to watch her! I've very proud of her!

Jan 12 We opened escrow on a condo in La Habra off Lambert and Walnut. Yes, we are moving, if all goes as planned. It is 3 Bedrooms and 2.25 baths 1375 sq ft. We are really excited! It sure has been an emotional roller coaster! We are excited to buy our first place but sad to leave the home we have known for almost 5 1/2 years! Luckily we are only moving about 10 min away so it's still close to family and friends. I will keep you posted...We should close mid Feb...

April 19 Landon had his 9 month check up. He weighed in at 18 lbs 4 oz and is 28 1/2 inches long. While there the doctor discovered that he had an ear infection in his right ear...I was like what?! I had no idea. He wasn't acting cranky, or pulling at it or anything. I felt so bad for not knowing. The doctor gave up some antibiotics so he should be better soon. Poor guy...

Wow, I didn't realize how far behind I was in blogging. Things have been so busy lately with the holidays. Lets see...

Oct. 28 Landon said "dada" and now says it all the time
Nov. 10 Landon started officially crawling
Nov. 14 Landon starting pulling himself up on things to stand
That same day Michael went mountain bike riding with a friend from church, and this time he came back early, and injured. He was almost done with the ride, when he saw a big gap in the trail where the path had washed away. He decided to try to jump it, but his front tire hit the far side of the gap, and he fell down the side of the mountain. He didn't roll, he just fell and smacked into the ground. I was freaking out when he was telling me this! He said they wanted to call an ambulance because he was having trouble breathing...I was like oh my gosh!! Thank goodness he wasn't hurt too badly. We went to the doctor later that day and found out he sprained his left wrist, tore ligaments/tendons in his right shoulder and got a pretty bad bruise/cut on his ride elbow. He was sore for a while! I am so glad that he didn't have any serious injuries. It will be a while until he goes riding again...

Nov. 26 Thanksgiving
We went to my grandma's house in the afternoon and had a great Thanksgiving lunch. It was fun to visit with some of my family that have moved away. We also celebrated my mom's birthday while we were there. Later that day we went to the Trimmell's house and had some more turkey. This was Landon's first Thanksgiving, but he was too small to have turkey, so I bought him a jar of baby food turkey and sweet potatoes, which he actually liked. Overall, we had a great day spending time with family. We are so grateful for all of our blessings! The day before I was talking to Makayla about how we celebrate things we are thankful for and she said "I'm thankful for the opportunity to be with my family" Precious!

Dec. 15 Landon got really sick for about a week (diarrhea & throwing up)
Dec. 16 Makayla said "You're the best Mommy/Daddy I ever saw" and, while playing with
my hair said "Wow Mommy, your hair is so long, where did you buy it?" haha
Dec. 19 That morning Makayla, Nana Trimmell and I went to the Staples center to see Disney on Ice. Makayla was so excited! She got dressed up in her princess clothes and everything. It was a really cool performance, and she loved it! Later that night we went to Michael's work Christmas party. We had a lot of fun and ate great food!!

Dec. 23 Annual Ibey family Christmas Party. This year the party was at my cousin Michael and his wife Amanda's house in San Clemente. Their house is gorgeous! Ate pasta, played fun game with $5 gifts, girls had an ornament exchange, had a dessert contest, and enjoyed spending time with family we don't see very often. I made my ornament, and I think it turned out really cute! I made a new dessert, caramel stuffed apple cider cookies, which are really good! Overall, we had a great time! Santa also visited and Makayla actually sat on his lap and told him she wanted a Kitchen.

Dec. 24 Spent Christmas Eve with the Trimmells and Santa came to visit. Makayla didn't sit on his lap but gladly accepted a gift - Bell doll where you can change her clothes. Landon wanted nothing to do with Santa. He cried just looking at him...poor thing. He did have fun playing with his gift - 24 fun colorful links to take apart/put together.

Dec. 25 Christmas!! It was so much fun this year because Makayla was really into the decorations and lights on the houses. She helped decorate the tree and baked cookies with mommy. This year Santa brought Makayla a play kitchen, and she loved it!! She plays with it all the time, and is always cooking for us. Too cute! This was Landon's first Christmas, and even though he didn't really understand, he loved getting a bunch of gifts. Santa brought him a jumping seat that hangs in the doorway. He's only tried it a few times, but I think he's going to like it once he gets the hang of it. That morning we went to my parent's house to eat breakfast, exchange gifts and talk to my younger brother Justin who is on his mission in Mexico. It was so great talking to him, and I can't wait until he comes home in August! Then we spend the afternoon with the Trimmells eating yummy food and exchanging gifts. Then we stopped by my grandma's for a quick visit and dessert. Then we went back to my parents where we had dinner and played games. It was a blast! It was a busy day, but so much fun! The kids got a bunch of toys and clothes! I love spending time with family, and seeing my kids get excited is the best. Overall, we had a great Christmas. We love this time of year where we remember the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. We hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Dec. 26 Makayla and I, along with Nana Trimmell and AJ saw Princess and the Frog. This was one of the first times she has been to the theater. She had a great time!

There is so much to catch up on...Within the past few weeks Landon has really started doing things. He can now sit up by himself for a long amount of time. He is also pretty much crawling now. He will move his hands and legs a few times and then fall down on his tummy, but he's getting really good at it. He even tried to climb up the one step we have the other day.

On Oct. 15 Makayla and I went to Disney's California Adventure to go trick or treating with Amber and Jasper Jackman, her mom, and sisters Nichelle (and bf) and Stephanie. They had an extra ticket and invited us to join them. We had so much fun! We got to walk around and get candy at different stations, watch shows, and go on rides. Makayla and Jasper had a blast dancing to the music. Thanks for inviting us Amber!

Then back on Oct. 23-25 our family went to the San Bernardino Mountains to a Science camp called, Pali Mountain. They were letting teachers and their families preview it for free so we thought we would take advantage, and we're glad we did. We had a great time being out in nature. We went on small hikes, went to some science classes, like the balloon drop where we had to try to prevent our balloon from popping after dropping it off a balcony. Unfortunately, ours popped lol Michael and I were able to go on the zip line, which was awesome! I have never done it before, so I was a little nervous, but it was a lot of fun. This place also had great food! We were lucky enough to have a huge cabin to ourselves! One benefit of having young kids lol The bathrooms were in the cabin which was awesome! Since it was close to Halloween, they had pumpkin painting for the kids and other activities. Overall, we had a great time.

Then Oct. 31 was Halloween. That morning Makayla went to a work Halloween Party with my mom, and had a great time. She even won a fish! Then later that afternoon we decorated the trunk of our car so we could go Trunk or Treating at church. There were a bunch of people, so the kids got plenty of candy! Makayla looked beautiful as Princess Giselle, and Landon was an adorable Tiger. Michael and I decided to dress up last minute so he wore and old lab coat and put red paint on it and was a Mad Scientist, and I wore my sister's cheer warm ups and was a Cheerleader. It was a lot of fun this year. Landon didn't know what was going on but Makayla would go up to the people and say "Trick or Treat" It was so cute! We had a great night, and are still eating the candy we got.
We also carved pumpkins at Grandma Ibeys - I decided to paint them instead this year.

Today we took family pictures. I have been wanting to do this for a while, but wanted to wait until Landon was a little older so that Makayla and him could take sibling pictures. I think they turned out great! Also, Landon is now 6 months old and weighs 16 lbs 1 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. He rolls all over the place, and it trying really hard to crawl! For Halloween he is going to be a tiger and Makayla is going to be princess Giselle from Enchanted. I will post those pictures after Halloween...That's it for now

Okay lets see. On August 28 Landon rolled over from his back to his tummy. He's been trying for a while but now he finally has it. Then on August 31 Landon had cereal for the first time, and he really liked it. Then on Sept. 11 Landon had vegetables for the first time. He kinda liked them, but had more fun playing with it then actually eating them. He also rolled over from tummy to back, so now he is all over the place. He tried to crawl too, and actually does move a little. He's growing up so fast. I can't believe that he will be 5 months old this Saturday. Makayla is getting bigger and smarter everyday. We have the book "Brown Bear Brown Bear, What do you see?" and we have read it a few times, but the other night she picked it up and started "reading" it from memory, word for word. I was totally amazed. I'm glad we got it on video. Since daddy went back to "school" (work) she wanted to go to school also. So, everyday we get out her backpack and go to school. She has a preschool workbook that we do a few pages out of each day. Right now we are reviewing our colors, letters, shapes and numbers. She is also learning how to trace shapes, and she is doing really good! I'm so glad that she loves to learn. Then this Tuesday we went to the park with some of her friends, Jasper and Weston. Once again I'm behind in posting...Lets see, July 31-Aug 1 we went to the Ibey Family Reunion in Oceanside. We had a great time relaxing with family at the beach. Makayla had a blast playing in the sand and with her cousins.

Then on August 11 I celebrated my 24th birthday. Michael was gone at girls camp the whole week so we celebrated the weekend before at my mom's house. Then on my actual birthday I decided to go to Disneyland. If you go on your actual birthday you get in free so it worked out great because Makayla still gets in free so we didn't have to pay at all. I watch my nephew AJ during the summer so he went with us as well. Grandma Trimmell took the day off to watch Landon, which was nice. He's still pretty young so it wouldn't have been much fun for him. We got there around 12pm and stayed until 9pm and we were exhausted. We had so much fun. We went on Peterpan (which she didn't like at all because it was dark) Then we tried the Carousel but she changed her mind last minute. She did like Small world, Pirates, Storybook, Casey Jr. Train, Buzz Lightyear, and Winnie the Pooh. She also go her picture taken with Mickey Mouse, Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger. Overall it was a great day!

Then on August 14 Michael and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe that it has been that long. The time is just flying by. These past 5 years have been wonderful. We have had our ups and downs but they always bring us closer together. I love you honey! Thank you for being the wonderful husband and father that you are! To celebrate we went out to dinner with our friends, Justin and Amber Jackman since their 4 year anniversary was the day before. We went to a restaurant called the Melting Pot, and the food was sooo good! It was a lot of fun! (Of course we forgot to take pictures)

Then on August 19 Landon had his 4 month doctor appt. He weighs 15 lbs 3 oz and is 25 inches long. (3 lbs heavier than Makayla at that age) lol The doctor said he is doing great. He is getting so big. On August 21 he laughed for the first time. It was so cute!! Both Michael and I got to hear it and we got it on video. I love it!

My chubba bubba

I can't believe how big Landon is already. He is now 3 months old and getting bigger every day. Within the last month or so he has really started to fill out. I love his double chin and little rolls. Our new nicknames for him are Chubba Bubba, and Chunky Monkey lol I think he is definitely going to be bigger than Makayla was. He is such a sweet baby. He hardly ever cries, and when he does it's usually because he's hungry. He eats about 3-5 ounces every 2-3 hours. He has just recently started sleeping for a long stretch, all through the night. It is amazing!!! He goes to bed around 10pm and wakes up around 6am. It is wonderful! He smiles all the time and is so close to laughing. He actually rolled over the other day on the bed (which might have helped) from his back to his tummy. Such a strong boy! He is growing out of his clothes faster than he can wear them, unlike Makayla who is still wearing some 18 month clothes. We love him so much and Makayla cannot get enough of him. Every morning when she wakes up she asks "Where's Landon?" She loves to talk to him and and kiss him. We are so grateful for both of our precious children. As of July 22, Makayla is officially potty trained! Woo hoo!! She has been going poop in the toilet since she was 18 months, but is now going pee in the toilet as well. At first we tried the pull ups, but she still went pee in them so I decided to just put her in underwear to see what happened. We also bribed her with "potty treats" - smarties. Every time she went pee in the toilet she got a few of them. She had a few accidents at first, but within a few days she was staying dry, even after naps and sleeping all night. We are so proud of her! One day she said "I went pee pee and poo poo in the toilet, I can't believe it! I'm so proud of myself" Too cute! This past weekend I took her to the store to pick out new big girl underwear. She was so excited.
Then today Makayla and I went to a pool party at the Jackman's house. Daddy was nice enough to watch Landon so we could have some time together) It was a lot of fun. There were a bunch of kids there. She loved the water this time. Last summer she would get in but only if someone was holding her. Today she wanted to float with a noodle all by herself. (Sorry no pictures of that because I was right beside her just in case) She also enjoyed sitting in a floaty and just relaxing. Overall, we had a great day together! June 21 Father's Day - Michael had early morning meetings so we woke up extra early to give him his gifts before he left for church. We gave him a phone charging station, some new shirts and I made him a Dodger fleece tied blanket. I think he liked them all. After church we went to my parent's house to spend time with my dad. (We celebrated Father's Day the day before with Michael's dad) Overall we had a nice day. I am so grateful for Michael and the wonderful husband and father he is. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives.
This summer Makayla has really enjoyed running through the sprinklers...too cute!
July 1 - 9 Family vacation to Utah - We decided that it was time to visit our family in Utah. We haven't been there in about 5 years. We stayed a few nights with my grandparents, and the rest of our time with my Aunt and her family. My other grandparents were staying with them too so we got to visit with them as well. We had a great time! We drove all night so the kids would sleep, and they did great. Makayla got a little car sick and threw up so we had to stop and clean her up. Poor thing. It took about 11 hours to get there and 10 hours to get back. Makayla had a blast playing with her cousins. Too bad they live so far away. While we were there we celebrated the 4th of July by going to a boutique in Provo and lighting fireworks that night. Makayla did the monster snaps all by herself, and loved it. We ate at some good restaurants: Maria Bonitas, Cafe Rio and Tucanos. Good stuff!! Michael played a round of golf with my Uncle, and enjoyed playing Wii golf, tennis, bowling... I got to go shopping for scrapbooking supplies...so much stuff to choose from!! Overall we had a great trip relaxing and spending time with family. Oh yeah, we have been trying to get rid of Makayla's uh-oh (pacifier) for a long time now, so we thought we would "accidentally" leave it in Utah and see what happens. So far she has done pretty good without it. During the day if she asks for it we change the subject or distract her which works, but nighttime is much harder!! The past few nights have been really hard for her. She is so used to having it, that she has to learn a new way to soothe herself. She usually cries for a little bit and ends up falling asleep with one of us holding her. I hope this doesn't last too long because I hate seeing her upset like that...She's almost 2 1/2 though, so she's old enough to not need one anymore. We'll see how it goes these next few days...Other than that we are just enjoying our summer with Michael. Yes, he has the whole summer off with us, and we love it!! Oh yeah, a few months ago we planted a garden in our backyard and it is doing great! We planted strawberries, two types of cucumbers, green bell peppers, two types of tomatoes, corn, jalepenos, onions, eggplant and grapes. So far we have picked and eaten strawberries, cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, corn and eggplant. Everything has tasted great! It's actually a lot of fun growing your own food! I included a picture of the fruits of our labor. (Warning: there are a lot of pictures)

Yesterday Landon had his 2 month check up. He now weighs 10 lbs 8 oz and is 22 inches long. He is definitely starting to fill out. I can see it in his face, tummy and legs. Too cute! Overall, the doctor said he looked great! He smiles and coos all the time! I love it! I also took him to get his 2 month pictures taken. They turned out really cute. I'll have to post them when they come in...

It's been a while since I posted last...A few weeks ago our family went on a hike in Whittier Hills. It was a nice, cool day. Makayla had a blast, and walked most of the way with me carrying her a few times. It was a work out for me, but still fun. Then last weekend my brother and Liz were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple for time and all eternity. The day was perfect and they looked so happy. Welcome to the family Liz! Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures. Both Michael and I were in the wedding party and had to take care of two kids so that's why...Hopefully I can get some from my mom to post because Makayla looked so pretty in her black and red dress, matching the wedding colors. Then, this week Makayla really started potty training. She has been going poop in the toilet since she was 18 months, but wasn't interested in going pee yet. Then this week I decided to put her in pull ups/underwear. She had a few accidents, but has waken up the past few mornings dry, and has been going in the toilet. I am so proud of her!! I knew she could do it when she was ready. I think she will be ready for underwear in no time! Landon is almost 2 months old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! He started smiling and cooing at 6 weeks and I love it! He also makes a bunch of grunting noises...lol such a guy! I got his pictures taken last month, but need to scan and upload it. Landon's Blessing

Today we blessed Landon at church. I can't believe that he is almost 1 month old already! We bought him an adorable white outfit complete with shorts, and a shirt with a vest and tie. He looked so handsome! Michael gave Landon a beautiful blessing, and all of our family and friends were there to hear it. I am so grateful that Michael holds the Priesthood and that he was able to bless our son. After church family and friends came back to our house for lunch (chicken tacos, beans and rice, and brownie sundaes for dessert) and to celebrate Michael's 28th birthday. Overall, it was a wonderful day!

Landon is already 2 weeks old. I can't believe it! He has been a great baby so far. He pretty much only cries when he's hungry. He is doing great with breastfeeding so I am totally excited! He pretty much eats every 2-3 hours, and usually more often at night (of course). Makayla is an awesome big sister! She loves to hold him and talk to him, and helps me by getting diapers, wipes etc. I'm really glad I have her around to help. Today Landon had his 2 week appt. and the doctor said he is doing great. He now weighs 6lbs 12oz and is 20 inches long. Here are some recent pictures...

Landon Michael Trimmell has arrived!!

Landon Michael Trimmell was born on Sunday April 19, 2009 at 12:37pm. He weighed 6lbs 9oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Not a bad size considering the fact that he was 2 1/2 weeks early! We are so excited to have him here! Okay, so here's my labor story. Saturday morning I went shopping at the Citadel with Makayla and my Mother-in-law to get some more clothes for Landon. I was pretty uncomfortable the whole time, and didn't feel the same. On the way home from shopping I started having back pain and mild contractions, but we were hungry so we went to eat lunch at Carinos but had to leave shortly after ordering our food because my contractions were becoming more regular. (12pm) So we got home, and finished packing our bags, while my Father-in-law went to get Michael who was unpiring a baseball game nearby. I had a really short labor with Makayla so we figured he would come quickly as well. So, Nana Trimmell took Makayla while Michael and I left for the hospital. (My doctor was on vacation that week so I had no idea if I was dilated or not) We got to the hospital at about 2pm and they checked me and I was dilated to 3cm. A few hours later I was 5cm. And then I got stuck there. I had no change for hours...very frustrating! The nurse suggested starting me on Pitocin which sounded great, but the oncall doctor wanted to wait because my doctor would be there in the morning. So, we pretty much stayed all night with nothing going on. Then at 7:30am my nurse started me on Pitocin which got things going. 10:30am my water broke and my contractions got very intense! (I had him natural, no drugs at all) After 2 hours of hard labor and a few pushes Landon Michael Trimmell was born! So all in all, I was in and out of labor for 24 hours...but it was all worth it in the end! Here are some pictures of our new little guy! (Quick note: his smooshed nose and red marks will all go away)

Easter

This year we had a wonderful Easter! The Saturday before Makayla and I dyed/decorated Easter eggs with both grandmas. She had a blast! Luckily all the dye came off in time for church the next day! Since we have church at 9am, and on Easter Michael had a meeting at 6am, we decided to have the Easter bunny come early this year, on Saturday night. Makayla took a bath and got ready for bed and then found an Easter basket full of goodies waiting for her. She got some candy, mini frisbees, hair clips, and a pair of new white sandals. She loved it! We had to put the candy up so she wouldn't eat it all in one night! On Easter Sunday she looked adorable!! She got to wear a new, pink dress that she got from Nana Ibey, and wore new shoes, socks, gloves, a matching purse and hat. She was so excited to wear all her new things. Church was really good! It reminds us why we really celebrate Easter. After church we came home and changed, and then went to Nana Trimmell's house for lunch and an Easter egg hunt. She got a lot of goodies! After that we went to Great-grandma Wright's house and had dinner and another Easter egg hunt. She really has the hang of it now! After having no nap all day, she crashed at about 9pm in the car on the way home. We had to go back to Nana Ibey's the next day to get her Easter basket. Overall, we all had a great day!

Today I am officially 9 months pregnant. Only 4 more weeks to go! (Hopefully less) I went to the doctors today and the baby and I are doing well. His heart rate was 150bpm, and he is head down in the ready position. The doctor did a pelvic exam and said that I am not dilated yet, but that I am thin/effaced so that's good. My doctor is actually going to be gone on vacation next week so hopefully he will wait until she gets back to make his appearance! I will definitely keep everyone updated on my progress. Valentine's Day

I know it's a little late, but I did want to post about Valentine's Day. Michael surprised me and Makayla with a dozen red heart balloons. How sweet! This year Michael and I decided to go out to dinner the day before, to avoid the crowds. We had never been to the Cheesecake Factory, so we went there to celebrate. Grandma Trimmell watched Makayla so we could have a nice evening together. The food was great, but the cheesecake was to die for!! We got some peanut butter chunk kind and it was amazing! We will definitely be going back there for more dessert! Overall, we had a great evening together. We also gave each other a 1/2 pound box of See's Chocolates. Yum!!! Each year Valentine's Day marks the half mark of when we got married. This year we celebrated Valentine's Day and our 4 1/2 year anniversary. We don't get gifts or anything, but I thought it was special that every year we get to do that. I can't believe we have been married for that long. It doesn't seem like it at all. Each year just keeps getting better!

Makayla's 2nd Birthday

On Monday Feb. 9, Makayla turned 2 years old! I can't believe it! Time is just flying by! On Sunday we had a family Tinkerbell party. We had spaghetti, Makayla's favorite. I decorated the house with streamers, balloons etc. I also made a special flower Tinkerbell cake for Makayla. It didn't turn out as good as I had hoped, but it wasn't too bad. It sure tasted good. She actually ate it this time, no crying! lol She got a bunch of clothes and some cool toys. Overall, she had a great party. Then on Monday, her actual birthday, we took her to Chuck-e-cheeses where she had a party with a few friends. Michael had the day off so he was able to go with us, which was great! She had never been before and loved it! She enjoyed playing games, winning tickets etc. All the kids got pizza, drinks, and a goody bag. Plus Chucke sang Happy Birthday to Makayla. She got more clothes and more toys. Overall, she had a great time. After that she came home and took a nap. Then we took her to take her 2 year pictures. She didn't want to take them at first, but Daddy warmed her up by chasing her around, and we were able to get some really cute ones. After that we went to dinner at Acapulco where they also sang Happy Birthday to her. Overall, we had a great day celebrating her birthday together.

Since Landon will be arriving soon and will be needing the crib, we decided it was time to get Makayla a big girl bed. We found that it was cheaper to buy bunk beds than it was to buy a single twin bed. We also bought two matching dressers. She was so excited when they came today. Her room looks great with the new beds and bedding. I will post pictures of Landon's room once it is all ready.

Mommy and Me class

Last Monday Makayla and I started going to a Mommy and Me class. It was so much fun! There are about 20 children in the class along with a parent. At this class the kids have free play, then they can make a craft, then we have circle time where we sing songs and then the parents have a discussion time. After that it is snack time, and then the kids can play and make another craft. Right before we leave we have another circle time where the kids play with this big tarp thing. Makayla loves it! I am so glad that I finally have the chance to do this with her. Some women from church also bring their children so it makes it even more fun. Here are some pictures from class this past Monday.

New Years Eve

This Year Makayla was older so she was able to say up until midnight to celebrate the New Year with us. Our family tradition on new years eve is that we go to my mom's house, watch a movie and eat a bunch of finger foods and junk food. It's the best! Once the new year arrived we went outside and sprayed each other with silly string and drank some sparkling cider. 2008 was a great year for us, and we look forward to 2009 and all that it will bring. Especially our little boy!

I know it's a little late, but I finally uploaded pictures from Christmas. Makayla had fun decorating the tree this year. We got some cute pictures of her doing it. Santa came to visit Makayla at Grandma Trimmell's house this year. She was excited to get a present from him, but did NOT want to sit on his lap. She didn't cry, but she definitely didn't want to be very close to him, at least not by herself. Christmas was so much fun this year because Makayla was older and knew what to do this time. She was so excited when she saw a tent, sleeping bag and blow up couch from Santa. From mom and dad she got new pajamas, a new outfit to wear on Christmas, chapstick (because she loves it) and a princess fold up doll house. After opening the presents she asked for "more". Michael surprised me with a heart shaped diamond necklace. It is beautiful!! Other than that, we both knew what we were getting. Mostly clothes, shoes, books etc. After that, we went to my mom's house to have breakfast, and to talk to my brother Justin who is on a mission in Mexico. It was really great talking to him! Next we went to Michael's sister's house for lunch and to open presents with his family. Makayla got a lot of clothes and toys! Her favorite was a doll set that came with a baby sized play pin, stroller, and swing. Landon got a few gifts as well. After that we went to my grandma's house to open gifts with them. Then we went back to my mom's house for dinner and to open more presents. Her favorite was a chest full of dress up princess clothes with jewelry, crowns and more. Overall, we all had a great Christmas.

Thanksgiving

This is a little out of order, but I forgot to post about Thanksgiving. We had a great day. We spent the morning with Michael's family and the rest of the day/evening with my family eating a turkey dinner at both houses. We were very full! We also celebrated my mom's birthday that night. Overall, we had a great day. We are so blessed, and are so grateful for the many blessings we have been given. Oh yeah, the day before I felt Landon move for the first time!! So exciting!

Okay, so Palmyra tagged me, and now I have to list 6 random things about myself. Here goes:

1. I hate spiders!! I can't even kill them with a shoe because I don't like to get that close to them. I can kill little ones, but I have to call Michael in for the rest. Once I see one in the house, Michael has to kill it right away, otherwise it might move and I wont know where it is and it will drive me crazy!!

2. I love chocolate!! I know most women do, but I really love it! I pretty much have to have something with chocolate in it everyday! If I go to the mall, I have to stop by See's Chocolate to get a free one...lol Did you know you can choose which one you want to sample?? I bad I know!

3. I love the Twilight series! I don't usually read much, but I read all four books in 2 weeks. I got really hooked. I loved the first movie, and can't wait for the others to come out. If you haven't read them yet, you should!!

4. I am a creature of habit. Whenever we go to a restaurant or fast food place I always get the same things. I don't mind trying new things, but I'd rather eat the things I know I like. I also have a routine that I have to do every night before I go to bed. I have to wash my face, brush my teeth, floss, rinse with mouthwash, brush with fluoride and put in my retainers. I have done this for a long time now! I refuse to go to sleep until this is done. I'm obsessed about my teeth I guess.

5. I love to sing and dance!! I love it so much that I will do it at home, in the shower, in the car, where ever! I will sing at the top of my lungs when I'm alone...lol There is just something about music that I connect with. I love it!

6. I love being pregnant! I love watching my body change and feeling the baby move. It is amazing! I have been truly blessed to not be sick with either pregnancy, and I'm sure that has a lot to do with why I love it so much. Most people don't want to see their bodies change but I think it is so beautiful!

We're having a boy, and we couldn't be more excited!! My ultrasound isn't scheduled until Dec. 1, but I couldn't wait. We have heard from a few friends about this place in Costa Mesa that will tell you the sex of the baby as early as 13 weeks for $25. Since we had today off, and didn't really have anything to do, we decided that if they had any openings we would go. So I called, and they had an opening at 5pm. Well, we got there a little early and they took us in which was great. After a few mintues of waiting, we could see clearly that it was a boy!! I told everyone that I thought it was a boy, and I was right!! Michael was smiling from ear to ear! He is so excited, and Makayla is excited to have a baby brother. We are going to name him Landon Michael Trimmell. We are all very excited! Michael is really glad that we went today! I'll try to post the ultrasound pictures asap! That's it for now.

Halloween

This year for Halloween Makayla was Tinkerbell. She loved wearing her costume, and didn't want me to take it off. On Thursday night we went to the Pickering Ward Halloween party to see Nana and Papa Ibey, Rere and Jared. At the party Makayla played games and went trunk or treating. She got a lot of candy! Then on Halloween, we went to the Colima Ward / Santa Gertrudes Ward Halloween party where Makayla went trunk or treating again. Nana and Papa Trimmell came to the party as well to see their little Tinkerbell. Cousins James, Brittany and AJ came also. Since Makayla was going to be Tinkerbell, I thought it would fun for our family to dress up together... Michael dressed up as Peter Pan, (no tights) and I was Wendy. I thought our costumes turned out very cute considering the fact that I made them for like $10 each. After the party we went trick or treating at a few houses on our street and then we headed home to pass out the rest of our candy. Overall, we had a great Halloween!

We're pregnant!!!

Some of you already know, but we are pregnant!! We are all very excited!
I am due May 6, 2009 and am 12 weeks today. I already had 2 ultrasounds, and so far everything looks great! I have also felt great the whole time, just tired, so I am very grateful for that!! Makayla is also excited. She will point to my tummy when we ask her where the baby is. Whenever we ask her if it's a boy or girl, she says "baby." It doesn't matter to us if it is a girl or boy, we will be happy either way. Just as long as we have a healthy baby. I think it's a boy, but I could be wrong. We should be able to find out sometime in December, so I'll let you know. Well, I know I have a lot of catching up to do on our blog. As soon as I upload pictures I will fill you all in on our summer vacation. I will also post baby/belly pictures asap. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. For Halloween, Makayla is going to be Tinkerbell. She is very excited, and loves her costume. She cried when I took it off...lol I am going to be Wendy and Michael is going to be Peter Pan (minus the tights) I am pretty much making his costume, simple and easy, so hopefully it turns out okay. Well, I better get going before Makayla wakes up from her nap.

Lets see...when I last wrote we were getting ready to go on vacation. Well, we went, and we had a blast! Monday we went to Downtown Disney, Tuesday we went to Disneyland (Yes, the day of the earthquake, go figure) Wednesday we went shopping at the Citadel, Thursday we went to the beach, Friday we slept in, went to lunch and just relaxed, and Saturday we went to Sea World. We were very tired at the end of the week, but we had so much fun. Makayla loved Disneyland, the beach and Sea World. I have a lot of scrapbooking to do now. August 11th was my 23rd birthday, but I had to celebrate it without Michael. He got asked to go to girls camp, so he was gone Monday - Wednesday. I just spent the day with Makayla, and went out to dinner with my best friend the next day. Then when Michael got back we went to dinner. Then on August 14th, Michael and I celebrated out 4 year anniversary. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. To celebrate we went out to dinner at Wood Ranch (they have the best bbq tri tip ever!!) Then we decided to get pedicures...lol funny I know. I needed one, and he had never had one so we went together and had a nice, relaxing spa pedicure. Overall, we had a nice night together, just the two of us. Moving on, after teaching summer school Michael had 3 weeks off, but he is already back preparing his classroom, because school starts next week. This summer went by so fast! Makayla is now almost 19 months old and she actually started potty training. She's the one who told me one day "mama-poo poo" so then I rushed her to the bathroom, put her on the toilet and she went. Now she tells me every time she has to go. We are so proud of her! She also started going to nursery at the beginning of August. She does pretty good, but because it's around nap time (church is from 11-2pm) she tends to get tired and wants her mommy. She is growing so fast and learns new words everyday. Her newest ones are: ring, pillow, I want mama... It is so fun to watch her learn and grow. Oh yeah, I almost forgot...Michael received a new calling this month. He is now the 2nd counselor in the Colima Ward Bishopric. Crazy huh? I guess you're never too young. We were both very surprised, but excited. He's doing a great job so far, and he really enjoys it. Also, Michael finally got his cast off at the beginning of the month, and didn't end up needing surgery after all. What a blessing! As for me, things are pretty much the same. I have been enjoying my summer and actually got hooked on reading. Everyone has been talking about the Twilight series and I was curious to see what it was about. I usually don't get hooked, but this series is really good! I read the first two books in less than a week. That is definitely not something I usually do. My mom and sister are also reading the series, so we have fun talking about it together. Well, I think that's about it. Hope everyone has enjoyed their summer.

Hey everyone! Michael is usually the one who posts our blogs, which is why they have been so few and far between. lol I've had a few people tell me that we need to update it so here goes. Makayla is now 17 months old and has quite a personality. She is really good most of the time, but now when she doesn't get her way she lets you know how she feels...She is becoming her own person, and we love it. She is also talking a lot these days! She really understands what we say and responds. For example, if she falls and bumps her arm, if we ask her what happened she will show us and try to explain it to us. It's really cute. She loves animals and reading, which is good. We recently discovered Elmo and Sesame Street so we really like that. She loves to help me with chores around the house which is great. Overall she is just so much fun to be around. It just keeps getting better! As for Michael, he is teaching summer school and will actually be teaching 7th grade in Sept. He loves Biology so when there was an opening at his school he took it. He also finished school last month. Woo hoo!! He now has his credential and Master's Degree! We are so proud and glad that he is done with school for now. As for me, I'm just keeping busy. I have been watching a little boy for almost a year now so both he and Makayla keep me occupied, but I love it! I finally got back into scrapbooking so I'm trying to catch up. Overall we are all doing great. We are looking forward to our family vacation at the end of this month. We were going to go to Lake Arrowhead but Michael broke his wrist so we decided not to go. Instead we are going to take Makayla to Disneyland, go to the beach, and do other stuff like that. No matter what we do it will be a blast. Well, that's it for now.

Ok, so its been about a year since I last posted. I know, I know, I have been really bad. We have been very busy this past year. Shawna has been able to stay home with Makayla full time (HUGE BLESSING) and I am working as an eighth grade science teacher. I love my job! Tons of time with the family. I have also been working towards my Masters Degree in Cross Cultural Education, which will be finish this July!!! Well, I will post some up-to-date pictures of Makayla so you can all see how beautiful she is. She just turned one and is a little ball of energy! We love her to death!

Makayla Marie Trimmell was born on February 9th, 2007 at 10:05 am. She was 7 pounds 1 ounce, and 18 inches long! She is a healthy baby girl! She is also the most beautufil thing on this earth (and no we are not biased because we are the parents)! Mama Trimmell is doing great after a little post partum scare...We are all doing great!

We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful support system and we thank all of you for your help. We will be posting more as fun and exciting things happen so visit often! Love you all!

Awaiting Our New Arrival

Shawna and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first child. We know that it is a girl. We have chosen to name her Makayla Marie Trimmell. She is due on February 13th...so we are getting close.

For the most part, Shawna has had a wonderful pregnancy with few complaints. She has been very healthy, which makes us both happy! The Lord has blessed our family beyond measure! We will keep you all posted as to how things are going.
